Just Walking - Entry by Pulelehua (Ms. Lita)

I hope this is posting to the correct site LiNKs. At any rate, hope all is well. I'll be walking home from work, again - been trying to make this a regular weekly event to get my exercise. The walk is approximately 5.5 - 6 miles. My friend, Vai, and I meet at the corner of Bishop & Hotel Street, walk through downtown, Chinatown & hook-up onto King Street all the way to the Middle Street overpass, then down alongside Fort Shafter to Kikowaena, then on to the home stretch as we head up toward Puuloa, then cross over to Salt Lake Boulevard, then up the hill to Ala Napunani, whew!!! then we're home. Our walk is about 1-1/2 hours. It rained during one of our previous walks, but you know, we didn't mind. It was a good feeling & kind of fun. The wind would blow and turn our umbrellas inside out, and I didn't mind getting my hair wet. LOL. Lucky we live Hawaii. Okay, this blog is a test run, so I'll stop here. I want to watch my K-dramas on YouTube. Talk to ya' all later.

Fall 2008 - See the Colors in the Trees

Howdy! Here's a pic from Arlington Virginia. It's my home! Actually, it's the guard house, fancy place that is not "always" occupied. We have a few festive neighbors that bought whole pumpkins and left then on their front stoop to decorate their home. Each day the neighborhood squirrels ate their share of pumpkin. Those critters were so cute when they dug out enough to actually sit in the pumpkin and grind away.
I should probably buy a pumpkin too for the squirrels it's getting chillier and they need to bulk up for the colder weather ahead. Mmm, I'll buy two, one for them and one for me.

Pumpkin has beta-carotene for a good source of Vitamin A.

Let's take a walk--uphill

Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in Hawaii Kai.  Meet up at the Koko Head District Park at 3:30PM. Challenge yourself up the steps (which are more like train tracks).  Enjoy the scenery.  Bring water, wear athletic shoes or hiking boots, sunscreen and/or cap.  It'll be fun.  We should be done within an hour to an hour and half.

Walk, Tuesday, 11/11 @ 3:30PM, Koko Head District Park

Let Noe know you'll be joining us:  521-8552
