Nutrition Class - Week 4
Devon, Nalani, Kainoa and Michael: I am leaving the assignment on the blog, just because. . .
For class this upcoming week, please bring with you a yoga mat, or a large towel. Also bring a small towel. The topics for week 4 are on exercise and heart health. We will be doing some physical work. It'll be fun. Call Noe with any questions 521-8552. Otherwise, see you at class.
Aloha,
LiNK

Let's take a walk--uphill
Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in Hawaii Kai. Meet up at the Koko Head District Park at 3:30PM. Challenge yourself up the steps (which are more like train tracks). Enjoy the scenery. Bring water, wear athletic shoes or hiking boots, sunscreen and/or cap. It'll be fun. We should be done within an hour to an hour and half.

Are you regular?
Regular exercise is good for your mental, emotional and physical health. Thirty minutes of daily physical activity can do more than help you against high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
So, are you regular? If you were thinking of something else, no worry that's the next blog entry.

Let's shake a leg
Monday, October 27, 2008 @ 5:30PM - walk/jog at Blaisdell Park. A great way to start a busy week. Call me to let me know you'll be coming (521-8552). Meet-cha there. Noe

Today's activity was great!
The walk/jog was awesome. Blaisdell Park has a great pathway. Those in attendance: Nalani and her son Kamaha'o, Devon, Lita and her granddaughters Kainani and Makana and myself.
We walked and jogged for about an hour. Everyone said they enjoyed themselves; but, yes, it was a bit challenging to walk briskly for 10 minutes and then mildly jog for 5 minutes. Of course, the 5 minutes of jogging FELT like 10 minutes.
Honestly, I really enjoyed it. Thank you all for a very enjoyable exercise session. Noe

Walk/Jog with us at Blaisdell Park
Hey, let's shake a leg. Next Monday, October 6, we'll be walking/jogging the path along the water at Blaisdell Park in Pearl City (past Pearl Ridge on Kamehameha Highway). The kids will be having their practice in the yard area. We will meet on the walkway near the water, below the exercise area. Be there by 5:15 so we can start promptly at 5:30. We will walk/jog for approximately 45 minutes.
See you there. Give a ring 521-8552 so we know to watch for you. Oh, and do bring a friend or two. The more the merrier. Noe

Leaders in Nutritional Kicks
Hello, we are LiNK for Lita, Noe and Kelli expanding our reach virtually to you all. On this blog we intend to share updates on the classes, share recipes, share exercise tips, discuss weight loss programs, and have fun being virtually connected.
We completed our first class on Tuesday at the Salt Lake cabana with seasoned and new Challengers. This session runs from September to the second week of October. We are still accepting Challengers until September 9. Share our challenge with your friends and family that are interested in living a healthier lifestyle.
Kelli has relocated to Arlington, VA and works for a computer company in Washington, DC. She made it through her first week in that numb jet lag state and is acclimating well. Her new exercise routine is increased walking, to and from the bus and Metro and walking in the neighborhood, averaging six miles per day.
Again, welcome to our blog and feel free to comment on any of our posts. We love to hear from you.
